Unlike your conventional gyms, Direct Action Fitness focuses on functional fitness to gain strength and improve conditioning. We aim to not only help members achieve their fitness goals but to build a support system that will allow them to sustain their goals for years to come.
Direct Action Fitness incorporates routines such as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Olympic Weightlifting, Plyometrics, Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Calisthenics, and Strongman exercises.
The difference between Direct Action Fitness and other fitness modalities is its sense of community and the use of functional fitness. Unlike working out in a typical conventional gym where you are an individual working within a group or running on a treadmill by yourself, we encourage camaraderie and group engagement that can extend beyond the gym doors. It is a community, or better yet, a family.
Direct Action is a military term that means the following:
“Short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. Direct action differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physical and political risk, operational techniques, and the degree of discriminate and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives.”
The name, Direct Action Fitness, was chosen because just like the Special Forces teams, our members: Have a mission (to set goals), come in and accomplish that mission (obtain goals), then move on to the next mission (set new goals). We are helping each member prepare for their “Direct Action”.
